Juanse is Executive Director in the Advisory team. Prior to joining Altamar in 2022, he was a Vice President in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse where he worked for ten years. During these years at Credit Suisse, Juanse worked in the London office for the Consumer & Retail team covering clients in the industry across EMEA, as well as in the Madrid office covering clients in Iberia.

Prior to that, Juanse worked for over a year at PAI Partners supporting in the origination / execution of opportunities and the monitoring of portfolio companies.

Juanse holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE-E2).

He has designed, originated and executed a great variety of transactions, among which the following are to be highlighted:

  • The acquisitions of Frutas Bollo by The Natural Fruit Company (Fremman Capital), Logoplaste by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board to Carlyle and Carambar & Co by Eurazeo (acquired to Mondelēz International)
  • The incorporation of ICG as strategic partner to Uriach, the partnership between Charterhouse, Corpfin Capital and the Founders in Kids&Us  and the sale of Evolutio (BT business in Spain) to Portobello Capital
  • Advisory to Firmum Capital and the shareholders of APK2 on the creation of a Continuation Fund
  • Formation of Froneri (ice cream joint venture between Nestlé and R&R with c.US$2,800 of sales) and the defense of Heineken against SABMiller’s takeover offer
  • The IPO of Bravofly Rumbo Group (Lastminute.com)
  • Institutional financing transactions (bonds, TLA/TLB, RCF) for Altadia, Grupo Antolin, El Corte Inglés, Froneri, Takko, Grupo Cortefiel (Tendam) and R&R
  • During his career, Juanse has advised on the strategy of major companies such as Heineken, Nestlé and Orange, among others
